30g Uvolve Mix In Collagen Protein (optional, for an extra protein boost)
165g Macro Wholefoods Market Pitted Dates

Directions
1. Blend the Dry Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the rolled oats, shredded coconut, cacao powder, and collagen protein (if using).
2. Add the Wet Ingredients
Add the pitted dates and maple syrup, then blend until a sticky dough forms. If the mixture seems too dry, add a small splash of water to help it bind together.
3. Roll into Balls
Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll into bite-sized balls. You should get around 18 balls from this batch.
4. Chill & Store
Place the balls in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze them for longer storage.
Tips & Tricks for the Best Choc Energy Balls
🔹 Soften the Dates for a Smoother TextureIf your dates are a bit firm, soak them in warm water for 5-10 minutes before blending. This makes them easier to process and gives the energy balls a smoother consistency.
🔹 Make It Nut-FreeIf you need a nut-free version, simply ensure the protein powder and any add-ins are free from nuts.
🔹 Boost the ProteinFor an extra protein hit, you can:
Add a scoop of your favourite plant-based or whey protein powder.
Use nut butter (like almond or peanut butter) for added creaminess.
🔹 Roll in Extras for More FlavourAfter rolling the balls, coat them in:✔ Extra shredded coconut for a tropical touch.✔ Chia seeds for an omega-3 boost.✔ A dusting of cacao powder for a richer chocolate taste.
🔹 Customise Your FlavoursWant to mix it up? Try these variations:✔ Mocha Energy Balls – Add 1 tsp instant coffee for a caffeine boost.✔ Choc-Orange Twist – Stir in some orange zest for a citrusy zing.✔ Mint Choc Bliss – Add a few drops of peppermint extract.
